Mid August and a lovely warm summer Sunday. After two weeks of frantic cleaning up in the garden to remove piles of bricks and piles of sticky clay our garden was almost presentable for the annual pilgramage of hardy NLPers to the edge of the New Forest for the NLP-South Summer BBQ. We started at about 12.30 pm and finally finished at 8.30 pm after a stimulating and amusing day. We never attract enormous crowds for this event, due in part to its careful timing in the holiday season, and the fact that we appear to live miles from anywhere. In fact we are less than ten minutes from the M27, but it feels like we are miles from anywhere! This however means we can relax as hosts and join in the conversation. I learnt some great new jokes, thanks to Harold and Gavin. We explored the Spiral Dynamics of major Politicians, the ecological effects of car fuels and their alternatives, green electricity and solar power, how the body works, or doesnt, HRT and alternatives for the menopause, and began to share and enhance a metaphor I have been playing with to explain the different medical systems in the world, in between eating, drinking and a lot of fun and laughter. I had a really good day and appreciate the warmth and humour of our guests. Thank you all.
